Siberia

Lake Baikal in Siberia, Russia - an extraordinary journey. In spring 2020, I was able to get to know this unique region and the Siberian culture. Cold, ice, hospitable Buryats and lots of fish (omul) accompanied us for 10 days. The lake is completely frozen at this time. The ice layer of Lake Baikal is about 1 meter thick, creates impressive patterns and can be navigated by vehicles. Here is a selection of photos taken on this trip.
