Socotra is situated in a secluded location on the Horn of Africa, between Yemen and Somalia. Politically, the island belongs to Yemen. Despite being part of Yemen, Socotra is an extremely safe and peaceful travel destination, as its distance from the mainland shields it from the political unrest in other parts of the country. Travel to the island is via Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. The people of Socotra are known for their warmth and welcome visitors with open arms. There is virtually no crime on the island, and female travelers can move about freely and safely without restriction.

How to book a trip to Socotra?
Step 1: Getting in touch
Get in touch with us, preferably via WhatsApp. You can simply send us a message or fill out the form at the bottom of the website, and we will contact you shortly to plan your desired tour together.
Step 2: Select your travel dates
Select your desired travel date. Flights always depart on Tuesdays and travel is possible from October to May.
Step 3: Booking Flights
Once we’ve found or put together a tour that’s right for you, we’ll use our local contacts to book your flight to Socotra.
Step 4: Visa Processing
The next step is for us to organize your Socotra visa for you. Simply send us a digital copy of your passport. You will receive the visa in digital form shortly before your trip begins.
Step 5: Travel to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
First, fly to Jeddah. We recommend arriving 1–2 days before your Socotra flight and staying at a hotel so that you can relax and arrive at the gate on time on the day of departure.
Step 6: Flight to Socotra
The big day has finally arrived—you’re about to fly to Socotra and embark on your unique adventure! Our local guides will meet you right at the airport.
